Neymar has sparked concern in Brazil after he was seen limping out of training ahead the side’s World Cup clash with Costa Rica. The Paris Saint-Germain star recently recovered a broken foot but impressed in Brazil’s warm-up matches and started their 1-1 draw with Switzerland on Sunday. While Neymar played out 90 minutes of the Group E clash, he was on the receiving end of several tough tackles from Switzerland’s players at the Rostov Arena.

The forward trained with his team-mates in Sochi on Tuesday but hobbled away from the session after only 15 minutes. It’s understood Neymar will undergo physio later on Tuesday and Tite is hopeful the attacker will be available to face Costa Rica on Friday. Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar played down Neymar’s problem and insisted that the attacker left training as a precaution. ‘What we can do is to calm down,’ Lasmar said.

‘A shorter workout was planned for the starters today, they’re still in a regenerative process. ‘Neymar trained a little, felt the pain, returned to physical therapy and tomorrow trains normally.’
