Andy Robertson to follow Mohamed Salah after Reds hatch plan

The Daily Mirror report that the Reds are keen to tie the Scottish international down to improved terms, just as they have done with Salah and Firmino in recent months.
Talks are also ongoing with Sadio Mane as the Merseyside club look to get the core of Jurgen Klopp’s squad to commit to new deals.
Robertson was a revelation for Liverpool last season after breaking into the team due to Alberto Moreno’s injury in December, the Spaniard unable to get a look in after returning to full fitness.
A £10million signing from Hull City a year ago, left-back Robertson was one of Liverpool’s best performers as they reached the Champions League final and confirmed another top-four finish in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old still has three years remaining on the contract he signed when he initially joined the club but Liverpool reportedly want to nearly double his wages to around £60,000-a-week in recognition of his displays.
Robertson continued his excellent form at Anfield with another solid display in their top-flight curtain-raiser against West Ham United last weekend, providing the assist for Mohamed Salah’s opening goal in a 4-0 rout with a low cross.
The Mirror say that talks are in the pipeline with Liverpool chiefs confident that discussions will be a mere formality.
Liverpool also want to reward Mane with a lucrative extension as reported earlier this summer, even though the former Southampton star also has three years left on his current contract.

Salah and Firmino both signed new five-year deals ahead of the 2018-19 campaign in huge boosts for Liverpool, who have had to become used to losing key players in recent years.
Philippe Coutinho was the last major loss in January, completing a £142million move to Barcelona, but Liverpool are clearly moving to avoid a similar situation with any of their current stars.
Klopp’s charges return to action against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park tomorrow night (8pm) and in light of Kevin De Bruyne’s injury for title rivals Manchester City, a knee issue that will rule him out for three months, the German is pleased to have an almost full-strength squad.
The only absentees are Dejan Lovren, struggling with a stomach complaint since his return from the World Cup, and midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - who is unavailable for the entire season.

“How many days did we have like this in the last few years?” said Klopp of having such an abundance of options.
“You have it for a minute and then it's gone. We need to really enjoy the moment but we constantly prepare the solution for problems we don't have. At the end you have 25 players.
“One year in 500 you can play 11 players through [the entire season]. Tottenham I would say pretty much played with 12 or 13 players [last season]. Leicester a few years ago [did the same].
“For all the other things you need these 24 players, Christmas period, things like that.”
