As it stands, the Reds are not missing their diminutive playmaker too much as Mohamed Salah and co. continue to wreak havoc amongst opposition defences.
In fact, Liverpool could be set to further profit from selling the long-range specialist – provided the contractual obligations included in his £240,00-a-week deal are met.
According to the Daily Mirror, Jurgen Klopp could be set for a £27.2 million windfall if just three contractual obligations are stipulated.

As with most deals nowadays, the more a player is picked the more you have to pay the club you bought him from. Once Coutinho makes 110 Barca appearances, Liverpool will net a cool £17.6million.
The fee is to be paid in four instalments, meaning the Reds will receive £4.4million every time the Brazilian reaches a 25-match milestone.

As a reference point, Barcelona last failed to qualify for Europe’s competition in 2003 when they finished sixth. The following summer they signed Ronaldinho and duly won it in 2006.

Clause 3) Barcelona win the Champions League

Would be extremely hard to do this without achieving clause two, But Barcelona winning the Champions League will also make Liverpool money.
Should they manage to win the Champions League for the first time since 2011 then the Reds will receive a further £4.4million.
